The world of LEGO officially arrived in Short Pump, bringing a wealth of brick-building enjoyment to the community. Richmond’s newest addition, a LEGO Store, opened its doors at the popular Short Pump Town Center in Henrico County. The location was designed to foster imagination, offering one of the most extensive selections of LEGO products available. Whether guests were experienced builders or newcomers to LEGO, the store offered a deeply engaging experience that created lasting memories for enthusiasts of all ages.
This exciting addition to the community was more than just a retail space—it became a place for play and exploration. Spanning over 3,000 square feet of colorful displays, the Short Pump LEGO Store offered numerous opportunities for hands-on play. Dedicated staff members were ready to help visitors navigate the impressive range of sets and provide expert guidance. With ample room for creative discovery and interactive elements, the store quickly became a favorite spot for families and LEGO fans seeking the perfect gift or a fun afternoon outing.
The grand opening celebrations began on Friday, November 7, and the enthusiasm was unmistakable. The day kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m., officially welcoming the public to the new LEGO destination. Throughout the opening weekend, attendees participated in a special mystery mural LEGO brick-building project, contributing to a collaborative surprise artwork. The local RVA LEGO User Group was also in attendance, showcasing remarkable fan-built creations that inspired builders of all ages with the endless possibilities of LEGO bricks.
Following its successful launch, the Short Pump LEGO Store continued to feature excellent, year-round attractions designed to spark creativity. Visitors tested their construction skills at the play tables, customized their collections at the Build a Mini Tower station, and picked individual bricks from the popular Pick & Build Wall. These interactive features, combined with a welcoming environment and a broad product selection, established the store as a central hub where imaginations could thrive, piece by colorful piece.
To mark its arrival, the LEGO Store offered exclusive promotions for shoppers. From November 7 to 9, the first 750 customers each day received a special “I <3 LEGO Store Short Pump Town Center” tile—a fitting keepsake from the opening. Those making larger purchases enjoyed added bonuses, including a LEGO New Store Opening set with purchases of $150 or more on November 7, as well as other limited promotional sets and reusable bags available throughout the week.
The celebrations continued with additional giveaways. On November 8, shoppers who spent $120 or more received a LEGO Store set, and from November 9 through 16, customers who spent $50 or more earned a reusable LEGO Store bag. All offers were available only while supplies lasted, encouraging visitors to take advantage of these limited-time promotions and experience the colorful new LEGO Store at Short Pump Town Center.
